Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham chooses the 'Magic Line' With the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham opening in June 2010 senior managers at both Sellyoak and Queen Elizabeth hospitals have already decided to look to the future and invest in 125 of the new “Magic Line” trolley systems to accompany their microfibre mopping. The trolleys are currently being used on the Sellyoak site prior to the move next year. The trolleys offer both the patient and the operative major benefits and will fit in with the modern look of the new hospital. The trolleys are completely enclosed giving several benefits, all chemicals are able to be locked away for safety, clean and dirty mops and cloths can be kept in separate areas of the trolley and out of sight and as the trolley is constructed of recyclable polypropylene cleaning the trolley itself is very easy. The trolleys are ergonomically designed and also modular enabling them to be designed with the needs of the customer in mind and with very little wasted space. Karen Johnson, Operational Director- Decontamination/ Infection at the Queen Elizabeth said “We are very pleased with the new trolley system and are confident it will provide us with both a system staff are happy with and one which enables us to respond to the Infection Control needs of the Trust” |
